Glam Glow PowerMud-A Review

Hey there!
I know I said I would make a post the other day. Well, obviously that did not happen. I am happy to say I did manage to make a light box thing for photos on here! YAY FOR NO MORE CRAPPY PICTURES!! I know what you're thinking " Okay Kell get to the point!!" Okay, so today I am coming at you with a review on the Glam Glow mask I hauled a couple posts back.

I must say this stuff is truly amazing! I got the PowerMud, which I do believe is their newest facial mask. I have used it two times and I can already say some great things about it. It really purges your pores and makes your skin feel like it is really breathing ,plus,it smells like delicious green apples. It has a mud to oil formula. Now hold on... WHAT? What a weird concept right? So pretty much this mask goes on like any mud mask would and you let it dry for about ten minutes. During the drying it has a pretty intense tingling feeling but I happened to like it, a lot of reviews suggested that people did not like this factor. The cool "oil" part is when you go to wash it off. When the mask is is dampened on your face and you start to gently rub the mask in it dissolves into a liquidy-oil (woot woot for made up words!) consistency. There are also little exfoliating beads in there too but honestly I do not think they do very much.
Take notice to the "exfoliating" beads
I did find this mask to be a tad bit drying but I used this at night before bed and just super moisturized and all was well. I did notice a less obvious appearance of my pores which made me super happy. The second time I used this product I kind of put it only on the places of my face that I find my pores get really congested (forehead, chin and hollows of my cheeks). I totally see the hype over these Glam Glow products, this company really knows what they are talking about. Over all I would give this product a 4.5 star rating. It is some good stuff people it is worth the $19 for the sample size. Would I go and buy the full size? Probably not, only because of the price tag. Let me know what your favorite face mask is in the comments!

No make up Wednesday!

Hey there! Today's post is a little different than the usual. I am taking about the opposite of make up! That's right! No make up. It is so important to allow your skin to have a day or two a week to just breath! I usually moizturize good and leave a little spot treatment on my face demons for the majority of my fresh face all day. I may not look so glamorous but it is so necessary when it comes to skin care! I have off from work on Wednesdays so thats is typically when I give my skin it's day off as well. This post will be very short because I think it is pretty self explanitory but I felt the need to express the importance of letting the skin breath. Also, ALWAYS REMOVE MAKEUP BEFORE BED! I know we are all guilty of falling asleep with it on but I know, for me, I regret it horribly in the morning. Face demons everywhere! Any how, please give your skin a rest, it will thank you! A review should be coming your way tomorrow!

Mini Sephora Haul

Hey there! Tonight I went to Sephora to specifically buy the Soap & Glory Vitamin C Face Wash. I have heard many good things about it via reviews online. I  desperately needed a new face wash after my horrible experience with the last one I bought. (Check out my previous blog) Per usual I could not leave with the ONE thing I went in there for so I also got a baby sized Glam Glow Supermud mask.I have yet to try these out as of when I am posting this but tonight I am sending these for a test run. I more than likely will post a review after I have given both products a good try. Any way, the face wash was $25...but do not panic! It is a 16.9 FL oz bottle! Seems like a deal to me! Then, the mask was $19! Ok...you can gasp now this stuff is expensive considering it is only .5 oz!  The great things I have heard made me take advantage of the sample size in the line at Sephora. They always get me! Therefore, our grand total was $46.64 with tax. Must say probably my most inexpensive trip to Sephora to date!  Let me know if there is anything I should try on my next trip to heaven *ahem* I mean Sephora!

Neutrogena Naturals: Purifying Cream Cleanser Review

Hey there! I recently purchased a new facial cleanser because my usual Simple brand one was sold out at CVS. I ended up just grabbing the Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Cream Cleaner. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS! I thought it would be a similar product to my usual but I was very mistaken. I usually do a little research before buying any new beauty products but this time I did not. Thinking that the word "Natural" being in the name I could not go wrong. Well, I was very wrong. After washing my face with this product my face was extremely red and hot to the touch like a sunburn. I wish I had taken pictures to show. Luckily I did not rub any of this near my eye area or I would have been in deep trouble. After seeing what I looked like I quickly went online to read some reviews. I came to find out that many people had the same reaction that I did. This was very concerning to me. How could this product not be recalled? A lot of people said that not only did their face get red but also very dry to the point that it began to peel the following day! I immediately put a ton of moisturizer on my face to prevent that from happening. Also a lot of people said that a few days after using this product they got a huge rash and broke out really bad. I am assuming the break outs are from the skin over compensating it's oil production from the over drying. There were even reviews of people saying they had such a reaction that they had to go to the ER. I have definitely learned my lesson that natural ingredients does not mean gentle.

Here is a list of these so called "Naturally sourced Ingredients"

 Ingredient                                        Source
Water                                      Purified Water
cetyl alcohol                          coconut & palm
glycerin                             soybean/coconut/palm
sucrose cocoate                       coconut & palm
hydroxypropyl starch phosphate    corn
coco-glucoside                            vegetable
citric acid                                         *
potassium cetyl phosphate      coconut & palm
hydrogenated palm glycerides       palm
xanthan gum                         fermented plant matter
sodium benzoate                               *
fragrance                                           *
salicylic acid                             winter green
menthol                                        plant
salix alba (willow) bark extract  white willow bark
sodium phytate                           rice

* = "an essential ingredient for effectiveness of the product"

The tube even says that this product is hypoallergenic and will leave your skin soft but I did not find this to be the case at all. I believe that the irritant in this product is either the fragrance or the willow bark extract because it can be harsh and I know I have never used a product with that in it before. Although I had a very negative experience with this product there are people who do enjoy this product. It is either people love it or hate it. I would in general just stay clear of this product. Also keep in mind that Natural does not always mean safe or gentle.

I hope you have a great day loves!& ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH
